Problem Solved

The Daily Show is what I like to call an equal opportunity skewer-er.  It doesn’t matter what your political affiliations are, if you do or say something that’s contradictory or stupid, it will be covered.

This is a view of NSA from one of it's many, many parking lots.
Ah, not so sweet memories.

Like every other news (and ersatz news) outlet, The Daily Show (without Jon Stewart) has spent the last two days discussing NSA’s woes.  When it flashed this photo, I had a bit of deja vu.  Ok, more than a bit.  I walked past that damn sign every single day for a year and a half.  I didn’t work for NSA, but I worked at its headquarters, for U.S. Cyber Command.

This gives me a somewhat different perspective than most citizens on the whole government surveillance program problem.  But that’s for another day.  If ever.

One of The Daily Show‘s long-standing concerns is gun control, or rather the lack of it.   Last night the show highlighted statements from senators who said they don’t mind having their telephone conversations and web browsing monitored, if it’s in the interest of public safety.  Yet these same men believe a gun control registry is an invasion of privacy?

Suddenly, I had the answer!  Let NSA track the buying and selling of personal weapons.
